Welcome to Lafayette House - where women, children and families in southwest Missouri can find help for problems related to domestic violence, drug or alcohol addiction, or rape. Our main facility is located at 1809 Connor Avenue in Joplin, and we have outreach offices in Neosho and Pineville, Mo. Lafayette House is a private, not-for-profit organization, providing quality services to families since 1978. We are committed to providing safety, offering encouragement, and promoting recovery for the more than 1,500 people we serve each year. With a well-trained and caring staff, and many community volunteers, Lafayette House offers:

  • Safe emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence
  • In-patient and outpatient drug and alcohol treatment
  • Information and referral to other community programs
  • Individual counseling
  • Group counseling
  • Family counseling
  • Children's therapy
  • Social services - help with housing, jobs, income, life skills
  • Child care
  • Advocates to help in court
  • Adult and family drug courts
  • SATOP, OEP, SASSI
