Domestic Violence Intervention

Lafayette House has single and family rooms providing 26 beds for women and children who need a safe place to stay to escape domestic violence. If you are being abused or beaten by your husband or partner, call Lafayette House any time day or night. If you are in immediate danger, call 911. We have an onsite child care center to provide safe, nurturing care for your children. We have a large cafeteria where we serve three meals each day. We can help you access clothing and basic needs, as well as jobs, transportation and a safe place to live. You do not have to live at Lafayette House to receive services - we offer a full range of outpatient programs. Counselors, a children's therapist and social workers are available to help with all your needs.

We offer residential shelter and services in Joplin, with outpatient offices in Neosho and Pineville.
