escape domestic violence. If you are being abused or beaten
by your husband or partner, call Lafayette House any time
day or night. If you are in immediate danger, call 911. We have
an onsite child care center to provide safe, nurturing care for your
children. We have a large cafeteria where we serve three meals
each day. We can help you access clothing and basic needs,
as well as jobs, transportation and a safe place to live. You do not have to live at Lafayette House to receive services - we offer a full range of outpatient programs. Counselors, a children's therapist and social workers are available to help with all your needs.
Sexual Assault Services
Lafayette House offers specialized counseling for victims of rape or childhood sexual abuse. We also have trained advocates who respond to local emergency rooms to provide support to victims. Children's Services We offer a range of services for children who are victims of sexual abuse, or whose families struggle with addiction or domestic
violence. A Children's Therapist will help design a counseling plan that is best for your child. In addition, our Pumpkin Patch child care center provides a safe, nurturing, educational environment for children while their parents work or participate in counseling activities.
In-patient and Outpatient Addiction Treatment
Lafayette House provides three levels of women's alcohol and drug abuse treatment, using the state of Missouri's CSTAR (comprehensive substance abuse treatment and recovery) model. One thing that makes our program unique is that women who enter our treatment center may bring their children with them during their stay.
Our program includes individual, group and family counseling, education classes, community support, transportation, and licensed child care.
Level 1 is the most structured and intensive rehabilitation, and is offered as a
residential or outpatient program. The average length of stay is 30 days.
Level 2 is the intermediate level of care with an average of 45 outpatient days.
Level 3 is the least intensive level of service with an average stay of 90 days outpatient.
